Mona Kea

Mona Kea is a 13,700 foot peak (4200 meters) and is the largest mountain on Earth. Everest is the tallest above sea level, but Mona Kea starts well below sea level! Few people realize that Hawaii has snow! But there is year-round snow on this peak. The locals from Kona frequently take trucks up the mountain to gather snow so they can make snow-men on the beach!
