| This is the famous Lake Louse in Banff National Park in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. The glacier at the far end of the lake has receded quite a bit in recent years. Most commercial photographs are at least 10 years old, showing a much larger glacier. Although not readily apparent in this photograph, hoards of tourists from all over the world congregate here on a daily basis. Getting there requires that you endure bumper to bumper traffic if you go during peak times! |
