Mt. Edith Cavell Dawn

This photograph was taken at the top of Mt. Edith Cavell in Jasper National Park, about 20 miles south of Jasper, Alberta, Canada. It was taken at dawn (about 4:30am). The warmth (did I say warm? It was FREEZING there!) of the first light striking the mountain top lasted about 20 seconds. We woke up at 3am in Jasper to get to the top of the mountain for Dawn. It was us and the bears. Although we didn't actually see any bears there, there was VERY ample evidence that this was bear country!
