Summary - Composition

What we've learned so far...
...the Rule of Thirds teaches us not to always center our subject and to place horizon lines in the top or bottom third of the frame.
...make use of lines in a picture.  Proper use of lines in a picture can make it much more dramatic and can help the viewer to see your subject.
...try to find foreground objects that help frame your subject without distracting from your subject.
...isolate your subject by getting close, using shallow depth of field, using contrast and by keeping your picture simple.
...use slow shutter speeds to creatively blur moving objects.
...use small or large apertures; long or short lenses; to creatively control your depth of field.
...before taking a picture, make sure that you view it from different perspectives.
... before taking a picture, make sure that you see it all:  foreground, subject and background.
